I am Leung Kin Kwan from class 4D. Recently, I came across a captivating book titled "The Midnight Library." This book serves as a poignant reminder of the permanence of our life choices, as demonstrated through Nora Seed's desperate attempt to reshape her life.
Nora Seed, a 35-year-old woman who has faced numerous tragedies, ranging from unemployment to the loss of her beloved cat, takes center stage in this book. It revolves around her unexpected journey to a limbo library, where she encounters books representing different life paths she could have taken. Determined to rectify her troubled life and undo past misfortunes, Nora embarks on a transformative quest.
Having delved into this book, I have come to realize the profound significance of decision-making. Our choices hold irreversible consequences that not only impact ourselves but also those around us. Nora's journey shed light on the stark contrast my life could have taken had I possessed the ability to reverse my own actions.
Furthermore, I learned the importance of giving our best effort in all endeavors. Nora's journey is fraught with small mistakes that culminate in drastic life changes and the unraveling of her existence. The same applies to real life—if we aspire to lead lives aligned with our desires, we must strive for excellence and avoid trivial errors.
Let us not allow hardships and challenges to deter us. Whenever we make mistakes, it is essential to exert our utmost to rectify them.
