On September 30, 2025, our school held a lecture to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Anti-Japanese War and we were honored to have Mr. So Yui Hing, our former vice principal, as the guest speaker. The aim of this lecture was to provide students with a deeper understanding of the historical background, significant events, and the impact of the Anti-Japanese War on modern Chinese history.
Mr. So captivated the audience from the outset with vivid stories and rich historical images. He elaborated on the origins of the Anti-Japanese War and emphasized its importance in Chinese history, highlighting the profound effects this war had on the unity and fighting spirit of the Chinese people.
During the interactive segment of the lecture, students actively engaged, prompting thoughtful discussions about historical contexts. Mr. So noted that understanding history allows us to cherish the peace we enjoy today and inspires the younger generation to remain resilient in the face of challenges.
