Chen Zao Men College, the fourth secondary school of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, was initiated by the Board of Directors, 69-70. It was named in honour of Mr Chen Zao Men, Director, 70-71, who made a generous donation of four hundred thousand dollars towards its building fund in 1970. The school commenced operation with four S.1 classes on December 6, 1972 in the premises of TWGHs Kwan Kai Ming Primary School. In 1973, it was moved to the newly completed TWGHs Chang Ming Thien College in Nam Cheong Street. With the inauguration of its 6400 sq.m. campus in December, 1976, the school started its education services in Kwai Shing in January of the following year.
